16th February, Berry Bros. & Rudd, London
Berry Bros. & Rudd, London
3 St James’s Street, London, SW1A 1EG
We are pleased to announce we will be holding two very special tailoring sessions in London with our Master Distiller, William Lowe on 16th February 2019. The venue for these sessions is the private and exclusive Spirits Room in the Georgian surroundings of Berry Bros. & Rudd.
With two Royal Warrants, 300 years of history and five Masters of Wine, Berry Bros. & Rudd is Britain’s original wine and spirit merchants. Their home at No.3 St James’s Street has changed little since it was opened by the Widow Bourne in 1698.
From roots as a merchant selling provisions, exotic spices, tea and coffee, No.3 ultimately became a fine wine merchant and during the past three centuries many famous visitors have passed through their doors, from Lord Byron to the Aga Khan. The shop is little changed and traces of its history – including important documents and artefacts – are on view. Berry Bros. & Rudd first supplied wine to the British Royal Family during the reign of King George III and has continued to do so to the present day and currently holds two Royal warrants; for H.M. The Queen and H.R.H The Prince of Wales.
Today they offer a selection of over 4,000 bottles to wine and spirit lovers in the UK, Hong Kong, Singapore and Japan through our stores, warehouses and outlets, and to people across the world through their award-winning website.
Berry Bros.& Rudd are kindly offering all participants 10% off any spirits bought in the 63 Pall Mall shop on the day of the tailoring.
Our Gin Tailoring sessions are always private and by appointment only, not group sessions. You will have the undivided attention of our Master Distiller.
You are most welcome to invite another person to accompany you during the tailoring (must be over 18). If you would like the second person to join in the tasting there is a surcharge of £50 – you can select this from the drop-down menu below.
· In a Single Tailoring one person creates a single recipe and receives a single bottle
· In a Couples Tailoring, two people partake in the taste test to create a single shared recipe, of which one bottle is blended (+£50)
· In a Joint Tailoring, two people partake in the taste test to each create their own recipe, of which one bottle of each is blended (+£250)
If you would like to create multiple recipes during your session, order further bottles in advance, or involve a greater number of people (for a corporate event, for example), please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your requirements.
